We’re calling in Coaches (ages 16+) who love working with kids and sharing the stoke of riding bikes. Our coaches bring experience riding with youth, solid skills knowledge, and the ability to connect with each rider’s individual needs.
This role is for camps where kids already know how to pedal. Coaches support skill progression, confidence building, and group flow—helping riders navigate challenges, build trust on the bike, and have fun along the way.

Become a Ride Mentor
Our RIDE Mentorship Program gives kids the opportunity to stay connected to Vail Valley RIDE as they age out of camps while beginning the progression from camper to leader. The heart of the program supports the pivotal ages 12–14, where mentors ride alongside a COACH to learn responsibility, leadership, and mentorship while supporting younger riders.
Committing to being a RIDE mentor provides hands-on experience needed to grow toward a paid COACH position. The program is also open to community members who want to stay involved in a fun and meaningful way.
As a RIDE mentor, you are a role model, teammate, and cheerleader for camp RIDE kids. You bring enthusiasm for riding, a willingness to learn, and a positive, supportive presence. You don’t have to be a top rider—but you must love to RIDE.
RIDE mentors range in age from 12+, based on experience within the Vail Valley RIDE program. Mentors assist a COACH, progress to co-leading, and eventually lead with supervision. Once confident and proficient, mentors may sub for a COACH and apply when a position opens.
